MGE completed the design and PS&E for the construction of a new pedestrian bridge crossing Oak Creek in the Montecito area of Santa Barbara County. The bridge consists of a single-span, prefabricated steel truss superstructure supported on concrete abutments founded on cast-in-drilled-hole concrete piles. The approaches consist of reinforced concrete retaining walls with a concrete walkway and metal picket railing. The project also included drainage and adjacent street improvements, erosion control, and traffic control plans.
